Hot Jobs Newsletter March 2015

We’re back! Sorry the newsletter has been on hiatus since December, but we’re coming back with a bang! There wasn’t much new to report after the holidays, but now that everyone is seeing the light at the end of the year-end tunnel (as well as the melting of some snow), we are suddenly deluged with new opportunities! Please see the list below for our current opportunities and call or email ASAP if you are interested and fit the requirements.

Also of note, we recently attended the national AAFA conference in Austin, TX which brings together privately owned firms like ours from around the country. We were able to meet accounting/finance recruiters from our affiliate firms throughout the US and establish referral relationships with them. If you have a specific city to which you are targeting a relocation, let us know and will try to connect you with that affiliate. CFO – CCY Retained Search – Rapid growth service company seeks CFO with 15+ years proven record of success in a financial managerial role with 5+ of those years in a CFO capacity. Technology/service industry experience is a plus. Experience with operations is required. Any experience with VC/PE firms a plus. Banking relationships, M&A, financing, treasury experience all preferred. CPA or MBA strongly preferred. DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS - Eastside service company in acquisition mode is looking for an FP&A professional with 7+ years of corporate FP&A experience. CPA or MBA is preferred. Candidate must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and extensive financial modeling experience. Great Plains experience a plus.

SENIOR FINANCE DIRECTOR-NORTH AMERICA - Incredible opportunity to be the senior finance person for this location of a premier and growing multi-billion $ company. High visibility reporting directly to the CFO and having dotted line to the Division President. Ideal candidate will have CPA and/or MBA, Big 4 experience preferred but not mandatory, experience in both corporate and divisional finance roles in a large multi-national manufacturing company, and experience supporting the commercial side of the business including partnering with sales/marketing, negotiating contracts, driving market share, and being the financial liaison between the manufacturing and commercial sides of the business. SENIOR VP TAX - Publicly traded company is looking for a strategic leader for the tax department. This key addition to the team will be responsible for tax planning, federal/multi-state corporate, and partnership tax experience. This position is the company expert for all tax matters and will advise executive leadership and senior management on tax issues and liabilities relevant to operations and strategic plans. Public/corporate tax experience and CPA are required.

ASSISTANT CONTROLLER – Auburn, NY – Start up manufacturing client is looking to hire a fast track right hand to the controller. BS in Accounting and manufacturing operations cost accounting experience is required. ERP experience is a big plus.

VALUATION ASSOCIATE - Long-time client seeks an MBA with 3+ years of experience in engineering, accounting, and/or finance using complex statistical and quantitative analysis techniques (ex. Binomial Theorem, Monte Carlo). Must have expert Excel skills including pivot tables, V-lookups. Great opportunity for someone who loves to be immersed in the numbers, but also has strong written and verbal communication skills to convey the findings of their analysis. Base plus lucrative bonus for solid producers.

CONTROLLER - CCY Retained Client - Fast growing healthcare organization is looking for a CPA with a public/private mix or straight public background. Non-profit or healthcare experience in public or private is a plus, but not mandatory.  This position reports directly to the CFO and has high visibility at all levels. BS in Accounting and 5+ years of related experience is required. CPA is highly preferred, but strong industry experience would be considered as well.

PREMIER AND RAPIDLY EXPANDING UPSTATE NY CONSULTING FIRM looking to hire financial professionals at Senior through Director levels. Interested candidates must have experience with SOX, internal controls and/or internal audit. Must be willing to travel at most 50%. Great way to move from public accounting to the exciting world of consulting now that busy season is ending! Competitive compensation based on experience level.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER - Downtown distribution company seeks a manager to oversee A/R department. AAS degree and 3+ years of experience in A/R posting, reporting and EFT/ACH payments. Must have supervisory experience and solid customer service skills.

FINANCIAL ANALYST - Publicly traded company seeks a BS in Accounting and 3+ years of experience. This position is a great one for any of Kym's former students who want to transition from public or corporate accounting role into financial analysis.

Financial Analyst
They are looking to add a Financial Analyst who will report to their Accounting Manager. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for working with the Accounting Manager to prepare the monthly cash flow forecasts, budget-to-actual analyses, debt amortization schedules, debt compliance documents and ensure compliance with SEC and SOX, regulations. They are looking for candidates with a BS, MBA preferred and 2+ years previous experience in industry or public accounting, preferably with REIT or real estate industry experience. Base compensation is up to $80K.

Sr. Accountant
They are looking to add a Sr. Accountant to their team who will report to their Director of Accounting (ex Big 4 Manager). The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for working with Accounting Management and Executive management to account for transactions in accordance with US GAAP, and ensure compliance with SEC and SOX regulations. They are looking for candidates with a BS, CPA, and 3+ years previous experience in industry or public accounting, preferably with REIT or real estate industry experience. Base compensation is up to $85K.

Sr. Internal Auditor
They are looking to add a Sr. Internal Auditor to their team who will report to their Director of Internal Audit (TSG Placement – Industry and Grant Thornton). This role will initially focus on SOX and then move more into an internal audit role - operational, risk assessment, and enterprise risk. This will be the first person on their team in addition to the director (room to grow). They are looking for candidates with BS, a CPA, a public accounting background and/or REIT industry with 2-4 years of experience. Target compensation is up to $80K.
