Hard to believe this is our first newsletter of 2016 and the first quarter is coming to a close already!  Being too busy to even have time to write the January and February newsletters is a good problem to have…it certainly has led to some March Madness in trying to get these jobs filled!  Always feel free to visit our website at www.ccy.com between newsletters to see what postings may arise as well as to see more in depth job descriptions affiliated with the abbreviated info below.  Subsequent to our last communication with you in December, we learned that we received the 2015 Recruiter of the Year Award for Cochran, Cochran & Yale given to the highest biller in the firm (See photo above).  We thank all of you for helping us to achieve that honor by being supportive clients, candidates, and friends of our practice all these years.  One way you can help us on our way to achieving this goal again in 2016 would be to respond to any listings below that are of interest to you and/or by forwarding this to any friends/colleagues/family whom you think might be interested in any of the postings.  These are all active searches with immediate interview opportunities so call or reply ASAP if you are interested!

CFO - CCY Retained Client - This pillar of the Rochester non-profit scene gives back to the community every day. Due to a promotion, they are looking for a CFO to work closely with the executive director to oversee all governmental compliance and strategic  planning as well as day to day accounting and reporting. BS in Accounting with 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, non-profit experience and a CPA is a plus.

Controller - CCY Retained Client - A well-established Rochester non-profit health care organization is ideally looking for a CPA or MBA with a public/private mix and/or non-profit/health care financial management background. This position reports directly to the CFO.  BS in Accounting and 5+ years of related experience is required.

Payroll Manager - CCY Retained Client - This employee owned and rapidly expanding company is looking for an influential leader to oversee the ERP implementation and payroll function. This is a strategic leadership role in addition to overseeing the day to day payroll operations team. 5+ years of payroll experience required. JDE experience a plus. BS degree a plus.

Operations Controller - New position due to explosive growth! Reporting directly to the CFO this position will work with the COO and regional VP's advising them on burden rates and evaluate project bids.  Traveling 30% (50% at the start) of the time around the Northeast and providing financial leadership on job costing, bids and proposals. BS degree plus experience in construction or contracting industries with extensive hands on experience with job costing and financial analysis preferred.

Director of Human Resources - CCY Exclusive & Retained Client - This is a new position due to tremendous growth. This key addition to the management team will be responsible for directing and overseeing both the daily tactical functions as well as long term strategic planning of the human resources and organizational development functions. This position will work with the Executive Director of Corporate Management & Finance on human resources projects and organizational strategic planning and development activities. Polished professional image and strong communication skills required as this person will provide guidance and counsel to all levels of the organization including the CEO, Executive Directors, Directors, Managers and Supervisors in all aspects of Human Resources Management, and will be the external face of the company in recruiting. MBA and/or SPHR and 15+ years of related experience preferred.

Controller - This cutting edge technology manufacturing company is looking for a strong Controller to oversee month end close, interact with auditors, and work with manufacturing.  CPA required.  Must also be willing to be very hands on as there is only one staff reporting to it.  Great upside potential!

Accounts Payable Manager - Shared Service Center Project -We are excited to have been selected as the exclusive recruiting firm to assist with the staffing of a Shared Service Center that moved to Rochester for a cutting edge, growing company!  Several positions have already been filled, but we are still in search of top notch talent for the AP Manager role.  BS degree and 7+ years of accounts payable management experience in a large company is required. Prior shared service center experience a plus, but not required.  Call for immediate consideration.

Inventory Accountant - Our world leading industry client is looking for an ambitious leader to manage accounting and analysis of the liquid inventory. This role will report to the Director of Inventory. BS degree and 5+ years of experience with inventory practices and procedures and the desire to work in a fast-paced environments.

Senior VP Tax - CCY Retained Client - Publicly traded company is looking for a strategic leader for the tax department. This key addition to the team will be responsible for tax planning, federal/multi-state corporate, and partnership tax experience. This position is the company expert for all tax matters and will advise executive leadership and senior management on tax issues and liabilities relevant to operations and strategic plans. Public accounting/corporate tax experience and CPA are required.

Valuation Associate - Long-time client seeks an MBA with 3+ years of experience in engineering, accounting, and/or finance with solid financial statement analysis experience. Experience using complex statistical and quantitative analysis techniques (ex. Binomial Theorem, Monte Carlo) a plus. Must have expert Excel skills including pivot tables, V-lookups. Great opportunity for someone who loves to be immersed in the numbers, but also has strong written and verbal communication skills to convey the findings of their analysis. Base plus very lucrative bonus for solid producers.

Financial Analyst Team Lead - Clyde NY- Fast growing manufacturing company seeks a strong leader and manager to oversee the income statement. Client is looking for 6+ years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting along with a BS degree in Accounting or Finance and some supervisory experience.

Finance Director - Large non-profit seeks strong financial leader with solid experience with internal controls, financial statements, supervisory and organizational skills to oversee three entities.  BS Accounting required.

Manager, Corporate Accounting – Publicly traded, international, well established, and ever-expanding company seeks a strong financial reporting professional to supervise GAAP financial close and reporting.  BS Accounting, minimum 5+ years related experience in public and/or corporate accounting, and supervisory experience required.  CPA/MBA and/or SEC company experience strongly preferred.  

Tax Reviewer - This National leading provider of comprehensive financial management services firm is looking for several Tax people due to continued growth.  Openings are in Saratoga, California, Chicago, NYC/NJ and require BS in Accounting with a CPA, EA or MS Tax and 5+ years of tax preparation and review. Knowledge in investment and hedge fund partnership tax a plus.
